who's kids were those?

so we go out to dinner with a couple tonight who #1 do not have kids and #2 We really didn't know them that well (Jake's co-pilot and his wife).
I'm not sure whose children were with us but they were definitely not ours. I wouldn't say they were bad, just 'on something'. Samantha, our content, usually quiet, friendly, laid back kid would NOT sit in her high chair or our laps and I mean NOT. She wasn't making a noise but she just had to crawl and move everywhere and anywhere. As I sit here and type out the scenario there are just no words to describe how it looked. I think Jake got an aerobic workout and 2 bites of his dinner. Meanwhile, Lydia, not wanting to be left out was galloping in large circles and laughing at the top of her lungs (normally this would be cute and to us it still was, but you just never know about the other people in the restaurant!). At one point a gentleman got up out of his seat to come and inform us that our two year old precious little girl was digging in an ash tray behind a half wall we were sitting against....YUCK.
It was so bad it was hilarious. Jake had to take Samantha out in the parking lot while the rest of us paid and gathered the massive amount of mess we'd made trying to keep everyone quiet and content.
The couple was VERY laid back and helpful...thank goodness! How funny would that have been?

all I can say is wow...how in the world are we going to do that with 3 kids? I don't even want to entertain that answer right now all I want to do is go to bed. That was a workout.

You better start working with Lydia now to kick that smoking habit... haha

I wish I could've just sat at another table and watched... I feel like it was eventful.

It could have been worse. At least they weren't screaming or digging around in someone's food.
