A Glimpse

More often than not when people hear that we will have four girls within 2 1/2 years of each other they either have something negative to say or try to tell me that "I'll be busy" or "you're hands will be full" or "poor Jake" or etc...
I'm over hearing those comments and tune it ALL out. Why? Because I just can't help but be excited. Jake and I did not plan to create our family in this order or in this short amount of time, someOne else did.

Identical twins are complete miracles something science can't even explain and no one can tell me that my Lydia and Samantha aren't miracles either - we have been the recipient of four miracles - what's not to be excited about?

So, here we are excited for the future, excited about four beautiful girls, excited about four proms, four weddings, four cars (which, by the way, anybody who has four kids has to deal with, I'm not sure what the big deal here is?), four educations, four everythings and COUNTLESS giggles.

Tonight I got a small glimpse of what it might be like in a few years...

Lydia, Samantha and I were laying on the bed, snuggled close together reading books, singing songs and giggling together to the soft light of a bed side lamp. It was precious. No one was hitting, no one was biting, no one was jumping, no one was wrestling, no one was unhappy. We were all laying there...all five of us, in total bliss over each others company.

SNAP! It only lasted 3 minutes and the wrestling resumed (Yes, I did say 'girls' but sometimes I wonder), but they were some of my favorite minutes and it was a needed glimpse into our future.

Funny, because even as I sit here and write this, I feel two baby girls going at it inside me, I think they'll get along with their sisters for sure.... for now, let the wrestling continue and as time goes on may our 3 minutes turn into many more.

I can't believe some people are negative about this. Good for you for being excited and thinking about all the wonderful times you all will have.

I don't know Erika, I'd like to have a conversation with God on that one though. I could really use all of your guy's hands and hearts right now!
