TuesdayOperation Christmas Child Project 2006...
Lydia and Samantha had a blast shopping for and putting our boxes together. This has always been one of my favorite holiday traditions but this year was my favorite because I got to share it with two precious friends!
Also, a new windshield on my car (in case we decide to sell it),
we found a minivan (I think I'm excited, except for the minivan part!) we pick it up next Tuesday, Christmas shopping has officially started in the Panter house hold, and Dr. appointments for Holly, Nora and Sophie.

Wednesday & Thursday
Christmas Shopping cont...
and,
Mr. Fix it is HERE!!!! $150 and a few hours later my broken washing machine was running like new and my husband was on cloud nine for having figured out how to fix it himself (that would explain the 'macho' facial expression in the picture! I was so proud of him.) - for the record, ladies, never open your washing machine, it will gross you out!
Friday
More Christmas Shopping, more Dr. apt's for Holly, Nora and Sophie.
From last Saturday to this Thursday we have acquired about 12 new pieces of furniture.
3 end tables, bunk beds, a bench, coffee table, rocking chair & 5 dining room chairs.
No, we are not wealthy or newly married. They are all from either Goodwill, a neighbor or my favorite antique store (which I always bargain at!) and technically we did just move in, if you don't count the more than 80 days Jake was gone.
This only means that there are hours of work ahead of us. We have an aversion to buying new 'stuff', rather we like the old stuff that no one else wants and like to paint it to where everyone else wants it. So, that is where Jake is today...painting and building, painting and building!
I love all my new pieces, I'm somewhat of a furniture/dish junkie and unfortunately, so is my husband - we are very bad for each other here!
Like I said...busy little beavers. All this in between the daily grind/schedule and lots of playing in the leaves!
