Mahoney State Park

Nebraska's state parks are chalked full of very creative things...this happens to be one of them and my big girls climbed, jumped and ran through this for 3 1/2 hrs last night.

At one point I heard Lydia crying for mommy and she was on the fourth level. I quickly made my way up to her, low crawling, bending and jumping. It was ugly. Once I got up there she was better, of course. So, now the goal was to get down. Several minutes later I had not descended any lower but was instead a little higher and on the other side. Dripping with sweat, following the advice of a four year old little boy and a little delirious from the heat (the tubes aren't exactly my size and heat rises) I saw a friend down below. The friend came to check on her four year old and instead had to help me. The four year old knew what he was doing, he was excited that an adult was up there with him. No way was he helping this stupid adult get down!!! I haven't sweat like that in a long long time. It was invigorating, really.

Sarah and I went to Burger King the other day and it had a very small version of the tubes. You guessed it, prego had to climb to the top to get the crying little girl down. We are women, hear us groan!
