Keeping up with Lydia

Samantha is trying sooooo hard to keep up with her not so big sister.
Example #1 :
Lydia asks to be excused from the dinner table and is granted permission. Samantha, not wanting to be left out of whatever Lydia is about to play with, asks as well and is also granted permission.
As I'm going to lift Samantha out of her seat she decides to stuff one more piece of chicken in her mouth. I pause, giving her a minute to chew and swallow. Lydia, seeing all of this, says "I don't like my chicken" and points to the two out of 6 pieces that were left on her plate. Samantha, seeing all of that, spits her half chewed chicken out on her plate and says "I don't whkelae ahekal" (she tried to say what Lydia said but it was complete babble!)
Hmmm....

Example #2 :
Lydia loves to have affirming conversations. She already knows what's happening but she asks a series of questions to prove to herself that she really does know.
Samantha's attempt at this goes something like this:
Every single morning she gets out of bed, RUNS to me and I don't get a good morning or hug or even a squeal, I get:
S: "Daddy?"
Mom: "He's at work"
S: "Pizza?" (for some reason she thinks he works with pizza, I gave up trying to explain!)
M: "Yes"
S: "Hot?"
M: "Yes"
S: "Coo off?"
M: "Yes"
S: "Wait?"
M: "Yes"
S: loooong deep thoughts
S: "befast?".....(breakfast!)

every morning!

funny funny kid.

That's hysterical! It's so much fun to hear other toddlers indiosyncracies (or however you spell that)! Too funny! And I love that she thinks Jake works with pizza!!!
love,
