Requires Words

I was going to give this whole "Wordless Wednesdays" thing a shot (saw it on some other blogs) but this picture will require words so, maybe next week!

INFORMATION:

1. Everyone is fine.

2. No, I am not redecorating, this is fire damage.

3. It was from a votive candle that yours truly lit while taking a shower

(now you know something about me that others do not, I light candles in the shower - it's relaxing. well, until now anyway!)

4. It happened at 1am this morning. I woke up to a loud crackling sound. The shower is in my direct line of site when laying on the bed. I woke Jake up, ran to get a glass of water to throw on the fire (genius, I know) only to be moved out of the way by a much saner person. Jake turned on the shower, promptly put it out and after the S.P.'s (military police people) and Fire department came to check it out we just went back to sleep.

5. Yes, I feel a little stupid

6. Yes, we have renters insurance.

7. All the kids doors were shut so no smoke made it into their rooms (a good reason to always shut your kids doors at night - learned that at fire safety, apparently it's the only thing I learned)

8. Cleaning up lots and lots of soot today AND getting ready for a baby shower here tomorrow. Oh yeah.

9. Also woke up to crayon all over the wall courtesy of Samantha and a front yard full of wet toys - the kind that aren't supposed to be wet....I guess it rained last night - who knew? (not me!)

10. Had lots of help this morning - once again, it takes an Army of people to do anything around here - Thanks Melissa, Christy and especially our Miss Erin!!!!!!!
