I put a counter on this here little blog a few days ago...ok, 4 days ago and 367 of you have been here since that time.
367? Wow....
At first I was flattered and then reality hit me that maybe I'm not that popular, maybe there's some weird creepy people lookin'.
I have been googling every possible 'weird creepy people on blogs' subject I can muster and am coming up blank. So, really? 367?
I'm sure I will go to bed tonight not counting sheep but counting people in order to come up with 367 because I'm pretty sure I don't know that many people.

Hmmm I'm one...so now you only have to come up with 366 people :) And I checked it at work, so I may have had to go to it twice to read all of something... Hope that is part of the mystery solved?
Well, now there've been 422...maybe the weird people have friends...ha ha ha! Just kidding - those counters are weird, everytime anyone goes to the page it counts it - then if the click off and come back it counts it again. I want a counter...
Okay, I love reading your blog pretty much daily. (I promise I am not so bored out of my mind waiting to move to korea that I log on hourly) But I have been thinking lately that it would be nice to have a blog site of my own once we get overseas just to let everyone in on the fabulous world I have plunged myself into.
Now here is the part you aren't going to want to hear. I talked to my husband about setting a blog site up with me and he right off the bat told me absoulutly not. Being a pilot he thought it was too much private info about our family to be publicized. If he ever fell into the wrong hands and they had info on all of that personal stuff about his family it wouldn't be good and could be used against him. He is looking into how to make it more private for me but I sympathize with your concern over the 367 hits. Just a little creepy.
Ps. This insn't meant to deter you from bloging, just telling you what we recently talked about.

#1 - I know the counters aren't counting people, they are counting hits but still....
#2 - ginger - you can have a password protected sight, a lot of my fellow bloggers do for that same reason. jake's job isn't quite as scary as john's so I completely understand!
How did you do the counter? Very cool! Oh, and I check it daily so I know I'm lots of those!!!

I have a counter too, but I also have a site meter, which you can get at sitemeter.com. It's free, an it shows you where your visitors are coming from, from all around the world. Most people don't know I have it because of the small sitemeter box in my sidebar.

PS....it DID help me identify an anonymous commenter one time. I haven't had problems with them since.
