Mondays.
I know, we all look forward to this post every Monday. It's my one negative post I allow myself each week.
So, here it is, in all it's glory:
Top 10 Most Annoying things my kids do and today they ALL happened before 11am:
1) Empty an entire package of wipes, spread them everywhere and then flee so mom doesn't know which one of us did it! (but don't worry Sophie because I know you DID! TWICE!)
2) Wake up early for no apparent reason and against all reason....all of them.
3) Scream 'NO' - I don't know why but I just don't deal with that one super great.
4) Play in the toilet bowl water. Again, TWICE.
5) Empty the shoe basket, spread them over the entire house and 'let's work as a team very quiet so mom thinks we're playing nice'
6) Demand that a sister plays with them, even if it's against the sisters will - LYDIA!!!!
7) walk through or crawl through a freshly swept pile of grime from the floor
8) ask me the same request over and over and over and over and over no matter how I say No or how many times I say No or even the consequence of asking over and over and over and over - SAMANTHA!!!! the persistence is cute, the defiance, not so much.
9) Break out a new toy and LITERALLY 10 seconds later figure out why mom should have just thrown it away to begin with.
(Samantha got a round brush stuck in her hair and it took 10 seconds to stick it and 30 minutes of tears and tears and tears to unstick it - just ONE of many examples however)
10) (drum roll please......................) Change their clothes 10 times and leave the 'worn' outfits lying everywhere!
these all happen regularly - very regularly - but don't necessarily happen everyday or even in one morning.....except THIS morning and THIS day.
I was so thinking that after my new found peace I'd have a great Monday but no such thing I guess....my kids are still my kids, I am still me.
The difference this morning though? I can't really explain it but there just is.
There is more energy and purpose and a little humor in it all that wasn't there before - so, top 10 and all, it's mine, I claim it and love it!
So, I am moving on.....

You are so, so, so, so awesome and you are seriously my role model as a mother. No matter how ridiculously chaotic a situation is, you always seem to maintain a sense of perspective and sense of humor. And the most admirable thing is that you seem to stay honest with yourself ... even if you do something that you feel you aren't proud of as a mother, you are honest with yourself, and you move on. You should put on a Wonder Woman costume because that's what you are. Again, you are an AWESOME mother and an AMAZING person!
