Jake is fixing to pull another 60dayer to that hot place way far east of here.
We start our 'routine' without him all over again in about a week.
One thing Jake and I always shoot for before he leaves is to have the crew and their families over before they all go.
That just happens to be tonight.
I was telling our valuable Miss Kayla (my 1 1/2 times a week mother's helper) that I remember a day when I used to really look forward to getting ready for people to come over - I still look forward to the people coming over only now I just want it catered -
all I want to do is sit down and play with the girls!
This time, because Jake did most all of the planning and Miss Kayla was here on the perfect day, there WAS that time!
We wrestled, we tickled, we read books, we laughed (we bit and got sent to time out) etc....
I know, an everyday occurrence for most of you mamas - but a treasure here at our house.

let me assure you it's not an every day occurance here. In fact I struggle to make that time. Something I'm working on!! We'll be praying for Jake. My brother-in-law leaves very soon too.
Stacy
that stuff is ALWAYS a treasure - because the other "stuff" is always calling our name! good for you!
i can promise you that's not a daily occurance around here!
love days like that!
What wonderful fun. One of my favorite memories is sitting on the couch with the boys, looking out the front window and shouting TRUCK or CAR everytime one drove by. Can't buy that kind of fun.
