....I'm not the first to say that it's no wonder they call medicine a 'practice'.
"She has an ear infection and these antibiotics should clear it up" (four rounds later) - doctor
"Adjusting this might help but you may end up having to get her tubes anyway" - chiropractor
Day 1 she has bacterial pneumonia so we give her a shot of antibiotics just in case, Day 2 she actually might have bronchitis or, well, maybe viral pneumonia - doctor
(meaning the just in case shot that may have caused a hive break out all over her body was for nothing?....and oh by the way there's no way it was viral or I would have had four kids with pneumonia/bronchitis - whatever it was!)
Maybe it's a milk or food allergy - chiropractor
Please wait two more days and then I'd like to look at them and see if maybe we might possibly want to talk about tubes - doctor
AAAAHHHH!!!!!
p.s. these are human beings we are talking about - human beings in pain.
medicine is a science? it's looking more like an art to me - maybe a little post-modern art : whatever feels right, that might work!!!???

Sympathy for you!! Just so you don't feel alone, I actually had a wonderful pediatrician tell me that Medicine is more of an 'art' then a 'science'. I hope you guys will be doing better soon. Good luck!!!
I'm glad you got to a chiropractor. Doesn't sound like the right one to me though...
Any healing art is just that. Bedside manner can be lacking too, which makes things tougher. I'll say a prayer for you guys.

Praying for all the kiddos and you as well!
Medicine and weatherman have awesome jobs. They just say whatever they thing and if they get it wrong--oh well, we'll try again tomorrow.
