sometimes there are just no words, only lists

1. by 9am we all trudged out into the pouring, cold rain to get in the car to TAKE SOPHIE BACK TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!
2. that's the second time this week
3. Sophie has croup, again, and a double ear infection, again - shot in the leg, suckers and prescriptions....yipee.
4. Got referral to see an ENT about tubes
5. picked up more antibiotic (not sure why but just going through the motions here) - while at Target, we lost Sophie about 7 isles over in 2 seconds - she is fast and no longer allowed out of the cart.
6. home.
7. after lunch immediately started working on 'the cake' (see below) -
8. ran out of buttercream, had to make 4 more batches
9. ran out of fondant, had to make 2 more batches
10. ran out of time, had to stop
11. I let Lydia and Samantha play together during rest time and here is all I can figure what happened so far (I'm sure I'll find more):
hair cuts, emptied and used a box of bandaids, acquired stool and proceeded to empty medicine cabinet (nothing consumed!!!), took all clothes off hangers and out of drawers, something happened with water all over the floor/clothes (there wasn't really a floor to speak of), made bunk beds out of the book shelf and 'slept' on them and there's some pretty artwork on the doll house - sun and rainbows - nice touch.
all in a days work if you're a toddler.......AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12. Took big girls to see Horton Hears a Who - not pleasant - not for toddlers
13. Had a babysitter here that was willing to stay after bed time so I could go out alone for a while but I wasn't done with 'the cake' and was just too tired to think about relaxing (does that even make sense?) - so, I stayed and finished 'the cake' and now I can barely move.

so, what were my wins?

cake is done
cake is done
cake is done
