Wins #2

#1 - I have dreamed of the day when I could go to a playground with my kids and just let them play without me having to do everything for them.
Today, thanks to a warm day (YIPEE!), was as close as we have ever come ~

There's a new park within about a 15 min. walking distance of our house - we ventured out and it was awesome.

Swing are out for now, mommy just can't keep up with four swings, everyone gets frustrated, and I felt like I was practicing sprints for a marathon.

Sophie only got about a block away and only one time before we caught her, I figured out she was on the HUGE/TALLEST slide before she came sliding down (but not before I wet myself trying to get to her!), and she only threw one temper tantrum/pouting session.
Nora only fell once (poor girl, she has my co-ordination!) and got some good cuddle time in with mom. She is THE best cuddler ever.
Samantha was pretty much fearless, Lydia led the pack and there were ZERO fights!

It was uphill the entire way home (17 min's pushing about 160 lbs) -
I don't know if I'll be able to walk tomorrow but it was so worth it that it goes down as a WIN!!!!!

#2 - I took the opportunity this morning, with my helper here, to go running on some trails that I have been eyeing for a while. I felt 16 again. I used to run on the private trails behind Seven Falls in Colo Spgs when I was on lunch break from the gift shop - some neat memories. I even saw a whole herd of white tail deer run across the path about 20 feet in front of me! That used to happen all the time in CSprings. I needed that quite, reminiscing time and it was exhilarating. WIN!WIN!WIN! for sure.

Ah the swings. We have a no swinging rule at parks...until just before we leave...then I'll push them for a couple of minutes. But it's too much and they all fight over the baby swings. Ugh. We have 2 swings in our new back yard and all they do is fight over them. A couple of weeks ago Eric put them up so he could mow...they have never come down. The kids don't even ask for them anymore...they have a great time just playing!! Yea for parks!
