wasn't the smoothest day so here goes nothin' - these may be a stretch but if that's what I have to do, that is what I'll do!
#1 - I finished a cake and it turned out neater than I thought it would (pictures tomorrow)
#2 - Tough Day. This was the kind of day that if Jake were home I would have met him at the door when he got home from work, kissed him, told him I loved him and then left for an hour or two to 'catch my breath'.
So, the win in all of this is that even though it was that kind of day I am, nonetheless, looking back at all the fun things we did with a sense of approval and in awe of the fact that I never once lost my temper, patience or control of my tone. If you know me you know that's a HUGE win.
Lydia had a record number of emotional breakdowns
Nora and Sophie just didn't feel the need to sleep today, rather just cry/scream off and on all day
Samantha was annoyed, just in general (but really, to her credit was not bad at all, it was just loud here, anyone would have been annoyed!)
And even those small quips don't do it justice - it was bad, I was not! WIN!
#3 - Samantha hasn't had an accident (potty training) in over a week and has woken up with a dry pull-up two mornings in a row - light at the end of the tunnel people - two down, two to go - WIIIIIIN!!!!

Holly--please know you are in my prayers! As a mom who 'lost it' more times than normal yesterday, I'm proud of your restraint!!!!
lots of wins!!! Awesome!
I like how you put that, "control of my tone" That is exactly what I often lose...I'm going to remember to keep control of my tone!
Yea for the potty training sucess! I didn't realize how great it would be!
