I killed a wasp
I cleaned up a bowl of Salsa off a restaurant floor - thank you Sophie
I washed, folded and put away 12 loads of laundry
I cleaned off those 'surfaces' that seem to acquire all the 'stuff' I save until 'later'
I gave 4 baths
I didn't take one
I looked at some cool houses in TX online with Jake via the phone
I gave lots of kisses
I got lots of kisses
I drank 2 cups of coffee
I sent Samantha to her room twice in kicking/screaming tantrums.
Did I say 'sent'? I meant, PUT
I got Samantha an ice pack for the bruise she gave herself while throwing herself around in her room
I picked up about 20 pair of shoes
I talked to God about a few friends who lay heavy on my heart
I cleaned a bathroom
I read
I took out 6 bags of trash
I have a really bad crack in my heal, really bad, from feet that I don't really acknowledge belong to my body until they hurt this bad
I cleaned the basement
I cleaned out from under the big girls beds (AHH!!!!)
I blogged
I read blogs
I called a friend or two
I worried about what someone was thinking of me
I played outside with my kids
I talked outside with my neighbors
I walked around Goodwill with my girls for an hour
I attempted to sweep up 'helicopters' and then just decided that was stupid, I'll wait another week on that one
I panicked about my Colorado trip
I panicked about the move
I vacuumed
I swept
I scrubbed
I washed 40 stinky toes, 40 grubby fingers, 8 chubby cheeks, brushed two mouths, prayed over four souls, had very very deep talks about their days with two of the souls and decided after all, it IS worth it.
I love the person who is emerging from all this chaos. She is so ordinary. She has a crazy endurance level, but she is ordinary.
I read over this 'boring' stuff and not until it's written do I realize how extraordinary it all really is.
All Praise and Glory be to God.
I am ordinary.
All Praise and Glory to HIM.
He is EXTRAordinary.

well that's just amazing.
really really amazing.
12 loads washed, folded AND put away?!? man, i need you to come give lessons...
you ARE extraordinary...partly because of all you do so very well, but mostly because you are a daughter of His and you follow Him each and every day.
that's quite an amazing list, though! you had to go to bed feeling very fulfilled!
It was a good day! Phew! Put up your feet and have some chocolate with your next cup of coffee!
That was incredible!. Gave me goosebumps! The 12 loads of laundry done in one day alone blew me away---I think God is incredible for making a Holly! =)
Holy Smokes Holly, YOU ROCK!!!!
i love the way you write.
i'm tired, though, after reading all that. i'm not sure I've EVER done that much in one day. wow.
Holly, thanks for the comment on my blog via Jodi's blog. It's nice to 'meet' you :)
Your family is darling! Your post really resonated with me...sorta gave me chills. It truly is amazing and extraordinary how much we do as wives /mothers/daughters/friends/neighbors and how all those 'little' things add up to something huge!
I'm adding you to my google reader to keep up with you and yours. ~Rose
Go Holly! :D
I'm tired reading your list.
"AHHHHHHHH"!!!!!
You make my days look lazy!! I am amazed, impressed, & overwhelmed! -Erika G.
