you're right

funny.
that was funny.

A girlfriend of mine asked me, upon Jake's return, how this deployment went.
I was stumped. I don't know why, but I was.

She had just gone through her laundry list of things that had gone wrong for her while her husband was gone.
(Murphy's law, what can go wrong while they are gone...WILL and always does)

her question: "What about you Holly? How did it go this time?"

my response: "Umm...It went really great actually. Oh! I guess we did have some stitches for Lydia but other than that I can't really think of anything. We must have just missed everything I guess...I can't believe it!"

.....a few hours later.....

Jake's response to me telling him about this conversation: "Yeah, no big deal: the stomach flu for you, hives for Nora that the doctor had never seen before, 3 tornadoes, 2 basement floods, a trip to Colorado, 2 sets of tubes inserted in the babies ears, stitches.....you're right Holly, that was an uneventful deployment?"

HA!!! How did I forget all that?

Thankyou Brian, Tina, Liz, Kristen, MOM!!!, Amy, Melissa, Christy & Pat (as usual!), Stephanie and all my baby sitters - YOU WERE THE REASON IT ALL DIDN'T COME TO MIND - because of you life went on and it really all was 'no big deal!'

I am in awe.

AHAHHAHAHAHHA! You have me in stitches! You sure do roll with the punches. Way to go, and Praise the Lord for friends and family. Keep on inspiring me girl, some days it's only your blog that keeps me from throwing in the towel!
