ring around the rosie

ok, this made me laugh.
we had three different poses/opportunities to get a 'normal' family photo.
you know, one where everyone is at least looking, maybe not smiling but with a pleasant look on their face, etc.
and THIS was the best shot.
really, I love it but it just makes me giggle that it took a few rounds of ring-around-the-rosie to get a family shot.
I'm almost in tears over how much I love this picture.
a 'normal' shot wouldn't have told the whole story.
we aren't the norm and to get four toddlers to do all the things necessary for a normal family photo isn't realistic so, today I am thankful for ring around the rosie, pocket full of posies, ashes, ashes, we all fall down!
more pictures to come!!!! we got them back!!!!

I think it is a beautiful picture. To me it is a picture of the Panter family. We sit in these orchestrated poses to have our picture taken and they don't really tell a thing about the people who are in the picture. This one says says to me...we are a loving family, a father/husband, mother/wife and 4 excited energetic girls. Again, I love the picture!

I tell people that my best pictures of my kids and family are when none of us are looking. When we aren't trying too hard. I have some of these "semi-posed" from the beach a couple of weeks ago too.

This is fabulous!! Such joy in a picture...and what a fun tradition to start!!

Amazing picture!! The perfectly "nonperfect" kind.

This is one of my favorite "family portraits" of all time. It's my precious "extended" family. And the 2 best parents in the world.

The absoulute favorite wedding albumn I have ever had the pleasure of viewing was yours. It showed so much about who the two of you were, your personality and wit. Candid yet real and somehow at the same time sophisitcated.
I love the character in all of the yearly family portraits.
Keep up the originallity.
PS. I hope this makes you go back and reminise with your wedding albumn.

I love it! This is exactly the kind of family picture I want to have.

I think sitting on a stool for family pictures should be outlawed! This is a family picture! Can't wait to see the rest...
