I have been wanting a new table for.....well, forever!!!!
I have looked high and low with some very stricked buget desires and wanting to buy used just because if there's one already out there, why buy new?
(that's kind of...not always...but kind of a motto of mine)
And last Saturday morning, there is was.
I was at Goodwill and I could hear it calling my name from the front...I raced to the back, we embraced and I said, "wait for me, I have to go tell Jake!"
"I will always wait for you!!!" I could hear it saying back to me ;-)
Jake saw it and had the same sentiments with out the embracing, of course.
the price tag said $249.00
Table, leaf and 8 chairs all included.
It was a steal - so we thought.
Upon paying for our new beloved table the cashier tells us, it's 1/2 price furniture day.
OH JOY OH RAPTURE UNCONTAINED!!!!!
$130.00 with tax and this bad boy was ours........
solid wood, HUGE chairs, EIGHT matching chairs, minimal wear and tear
we will eventually strip it down and stain it black - can't wait!!!!

wow--I have table envy now! I have been wanting a real table of my own for years--it never works out :P So I guess I will just have to be extra happy for yours and live through you vicariously!
What a great table and fantastic price! Why would anyone goodwill that? I'm glad they did for your sake :) I even like the color too, but I'll be excited to see it in black once you refinish it!

I'll make you feel REALLY good about your purchase. I have those IDENTICAl chairs at my table right now...6 of them, but no arm chairs. We paid about $120 each for them!! Good taste in price and style! :O)
