...Nora and Sophie.
We needed to get OUT today.
It's kinda snowing again, it's still cold, no sun...same o same o.
Sick o sick o.
After a mass cleaning effort on all of our parts (they are getting really good!)
We got in the car.
I didn't even know where we were going to go.
We just got in the car.
Burger King sounded like a good plan.
Without kids meals and fries for me we get out of there, all five of us, for under $10 and there is a blessed playground.
Really, it's blessed.....I checked and He said it was ;-)
Lydia and Samantha were absolutely perfect
and I was just about to swell with pride when Nora and Sophie burst into my bubble.
See, I think as a parent, I take too much credit (and I'm probably very much not alone here).
We work hard on discipline, we make sure they know other people are very important, my 'no' means 'no' and.....etc.....
So, of course, when they are behaving, I will take some credit. Thank you very much.
I am not, however, willing to take the credit for the bad behavior.
So, I kinda like it when I'm made to 'come back down' from my self-made pedestal.
I don't like it when any of my kids disobey - it's unsafe and distracting them from what really matters.
But, for my sake, I am glad that they do occasionally buck the system.
Lydia and Samantha, you were especially good today and I know you were trying really hard for that.
Nora and Sophie......um.....you were not.....but.....thanks for keepin' in real.
(I promise not to take the credit next time if you promise to be good....deal?)

What happened to acting class???
I blame the bad behavior on the winter. It just makes for a bad mood. No sunshine is no good.
Tomorrow is supposed to be gorgeous! Get thee to a park! Any park! ;)
