Grandma:
(these are the last few updates from my mom)
Doc just came by. Mom's gall bladder is inflamed and he feels like antibiotics at this time will correct that. He said the earliest she would be released will be Wednesday and that is only if her white cell count gets closer to normal. At least now we know why her abdomen hurt so much. She is feisty today! she took a walk down the hall with the PT.
GMA had a rough night. She had a panic attack around 2:30 am and we were called to the hospital. Medically, she is improving. The antibiotic is working on her gall bladder and the meds are keeping her heart rhythm stable. The incident last night could have been a "post surgical depression" which is common. When we got here, she was afraid, breathing hard, kept babbling crazy stuff, like she was drunk. The nurse said they had given her a lot of pain meds. After I prayed with her, talked calmly with her and plugged her into my IPhone Music to listen to Selah Hymns, we finally got her to lay still, sleeping off and on. She is asleep now, and when her doc came by, he ordered an anti anxiety pill for her. She is now on a special gall bladder flush diet of low fat, low acidic foods.pray that she will rest peacefully today. Doc said it's still a day to day decision as to when she will go home. Luv u Mom
GMA had a better day. After she woke up from her long nap this am, she walked 3 different times. She played a game of Acey Duecy with Keith, had a good dinner and now she is tuckered out. Hopefully, we won't get any phone calls in the middle of the night! Pray that she will rest well tonight! Mom
keep praying!
Potty Training:
(shhh....don't tell anyone I even thought this)
I think we're done. No more potty training I think we're potty trained.
Like, all the way, like through the night and through the nap, all the way.
Again, this is a secret so as not to jinx anything ;-)!!!
Fitness/Health/Whatever the heck this is I'm doing ;-):
Gone every morning, Spinning 45 min on Mon, Swam 700 yards on Tues, Ran for over 1 mi and walked for even more on Wed, Swam again this morning (I don't remember how many yards? it was 25 min).
Had an ok eating day yesterday and working on another good one today. Mon and Tues weren't so hot, not bad 'days' just bad meals and/or snack out sessions....I get over confident with how 'not hungry' I am and then my blood sugar takes a dive and I eat everything in sight until it's back up again resulting in things like double meals and too much sugar.
So, yesterday I ate at my planned times, small amounts, balanced with proteins, whether I was really hungry or not, and it was great.
That darn blood sugar!!! (actually I'm grateful for it - it's a good accountability to NOT swing the other way with eating disorders)
It's still fun!!!!
