ok.

Samantha is up to about 3, maybe 4 accidents A DAY.
been going on for several months.

gross.

no discipline is even remotely working - positive or negative.

she acts completely surprised most times I tell her she's peed herself.

gross.

so, we hit up the Doc's this morning.

what else was there to do?

no infection, or so it seems right now.

but just irritation.

Doc think once that is cleared up, with a therapy of cleanliness and Vaseline, then she should be good to go but "sorry, this is just common in red heads and blondes with sensitive skin, she may struggle with this for a while"

see, I told you we'd never be done with potty training!!!

it's ok though, I'm just teasing.

really.
I'm more upset about the fact that we may have been disciplining her for
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING she could control.

score -100 for mom and dad.

poor kid.

You're not alone Holly! I used to fuss at Meghan, punish her and lecture her about respect and looking people in the eye whenever I would be talking to her and she would "roll her eyes at me". Turns out she had amblyopia (lazy eye) and had no control over the movement. We did 35 weeks of vision therapy!!!! --April

I have also noticed that the accidents come more often when the child is growing rapidly. The bladder just can't seem to keep up with the kid.

Holly, I can't believe how similar Elle and Samantha's "history" is...in this area. I am telling you, the twins were born when she was three and she had accidents like this for almost two years. I was determined to do all the laundry and not throw any underwear away. I did a few times though! It is a really icky long time of training. She is finally better.

Hi Holly,

We just spent about 1500 out of pocket to find out that we have a holder and when she laughs or relaxes she pees her pants. Poor girl would have an accident and literally be shocked by it...every single time! She actually had some tests done to check out kidney, bladder issues. She has big kidneys and small bladder. Nothing major or that needs fixed, but it helped explain. Her brother now tells people not to make her laugh too hard because she will pee her pants!
