fun garage sale/antique store finds

beefed up our dining room wall/added lamp to living room.

I was needing that.
with all the we are moving/we aren't moving/we are moving/we aren't moving/etc...
I had given up on our house.

not to mention that our house is LITERALLY falling apart.
like, I went to open the cabinet under the sink a few months ago and it just fell off due to rotting wood.
and our shower doors require a manual just to get in and out of.
uh huh.
and it's sickening thinking about fixing anything or especially putting money into it knowing that the second we are out they are throwing just about everything inside, including the drywall, into a giant trash can.
(this housing development is undergoing renovations because none have been done in about 30 years...I'm not kidding)

so, it didn't hurt to find these fun little treasures and revive my homemaking desires ;-)

Lamp: $3 at garage sale
(the lady even made a comment on how ugly she thought it was when I bought it ;-)
I LOVE it....hee hee)
HUmongo photograph of the Red Cross Drug Store in Red Oak, IA taken in 1900.
$48
Jake and I thought, 'what a cool souvenir from this area to take with us everywhere'!
I LOVE it too!
fun fun.
