I cried, out of extreme saddness, four times.
and it was just odd.
well done, but odd.
then again, we prefer Shirley Temple and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang around here and this is a far cry from those, so, maybe I'm alone here?

I saw a collection of Shirley Temple movies (17?)in the 2 for $10 at Walmart a couple of days ago. I have boys, so I didn't figure we would watch it much, but you might want to check it out if you don't have something similar - seemed like a good deal. :o)!
Not alone, Kara and D'ache both saw it and cried many times-I was advised not to bring Sydaleigh...too over her head I hear...
I love that the pink boot twin (nora maybe?) doesn't have her hands up...too cute!
We saw this last night too. I took my almost 4 year old boy. He totally did not pick up on the sadness, and fortunately I was forwarned, so the sad parts didn't hit me too much. Beautiful movie, though.
hmmm, seems Sophie is still contemplating the meaning of the movie ;-)
