what should I take???
give me some good ones please!!!!
I'm Holly, mom and wife to this chaotic crew. We are one homeschooling, military, Jesus-loving, girly family. I'm an Army brat who married and AirForce guy. I've lived 12 different places. I've loved them all. I'm a homeschool graduate now homeschooling my own girls. Yes, they are close in age, yes they are twins, yes they are identical, no they do not run in our family, no we're not 'going' for the boy. Yes, my hands are full and I wouldn't change a thing.

have you read redeeming love by francine rivers? (fiction) or the hole in our gospel by richard stearns? (non fiction)
those are 2 of my favorites...
Three Cups of Tea (Greg Mortenson)
The Shack (William Young)
Fiction: Cold Sassy Tree or The Heaven Tree or Cordelia Underwood (three of my favorite books I have read so far this year) or if you enjoy mysteries anything by Dorothy Sayers...
Non Fiction: I am reading A Distant Mirror and it is fantastic, but I am still in the thick of it so I can't loan my copy to you. It is a historical book on the middle ages - very insightful in a LOT of ways. Barbara Tuchman is the author, and any historical book by her is excellent. Biographies: Amy Carmichael or George Mueller or anybody else you are curious about. :o)
I LOVE books and reading. Have fun choosing.
The Redemption Series by Karen Kingsburry and The Duggers new book (and not just because you have 4 sweet kiddos... I read it with 2 and aside from the boring business stuff I enjoyed a lot of the tips).
p.s. Thanks for the check in!
i was digging thru my books and came across another favorite and thought of you. non-fiction. "Just Courage"
powerful.
and a quick read.
I am assuming you've finished the Twilight series.??
Think you and I have talked about this one alreay but "The 5 languages of love" is a great one to reread.

Fiction: The Shack by WM. Paul Young
Non Fiction: The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch (R.I.P.)
Fiction : Life of Pi
Non Fiction: Eat, Pray, Love
Nicholas Sparks... I love almost all of his (and own them all), but "The Rescue" is my favorite, then "A Bend in the Road."
Or Richard Paul Evans... he wrote the Christmas Box series and several others. Just finished his newest one yesterday.
I guess I don't read much non-fiction. :)
Can't think of any fiction.
Non-Fiction: Malcolm Gladwell's books are always super interesting. He wrote Blink and The Tipping Point. He also has a new one out that I am 600 or so on the waiting list for at the library.
Also: Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert
Joining in...this is fun...
Another vote for Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.
Non-fiction I've enjoyed/am enjoying:
The Good News about Injustice by Gary Haugen of IJM (a little more in-depth than Just Courage but same major themes
Joni - autobiograhpy
Gold Cord - Amy Carmichael
Non-fiction-How Now Shall We Live by Chuck Colson...somewhat of a current How Then Shall We Live by Francis Schaffer or for lighter quicker read Beth Moore's Feathers From My Nest about her experiences mothering.
Fiction-not as big a fiction reader buy my fav is The Great Divorce by CS Lewis (I'm guessing you've already read that).
I just read DIVINE by Karen Kingsbury. Heavy subject matter but the divine love of our Father shows throughout. I love fiction that glorifies our God.

Fiction: "The Shack", oh so good,
Non-Fiction: Just finished it, "Same kind of different as me" by Ron Hall and Denver (?) Based on a true story. VERY GOOD!
Have fun!
