packing
planning
fretting
dreaming
I just have 'trip on the brain'
deep stuff, I know.
Here are the books I landed on:
Nonfiction:
Just Courage by Gary Haugen
because I heart IJM.
Fiction:
A God Strolling in the Cool of Evening by Mario De Carvalho & Gregory Rabassa
because it's about Portugal when it was under the influence of the Roman Empire and about the persecuted Christians living there - thanks Becky for the suggestion to find a historical fiction about the place we were going!
and
In Search of Eden by Linda Nichols
just in case I can't get into the other book, this one looked uplifting and easy yet intriguing enough to keep my attention.
won a few Christian fiction awards and is a top seller in the same category.
sounded like a safe back up ;-)
confident I won't need a back up in my nonfiction area!
thanks for all the great suggestions.
guess I am more of a reader than I thought I was.
don't consider myself one but have read almost every book suggested ;-)
fun to learn about myself!!!
I always wanted to 'be a reader'
can I call myself that now?
