Portugal Part - the food.

we ate seafood until we felt like we might start growing gills ourselves!
these were 'cockle shells' and yes, I was singing the song in my head the whole time.
I had to do something to distract myself or I wasn't going to be able to eat them and their beedy little eyes sticking out the sides!!!
most of the seafood was really really good (As Angie knows, I only take pictures of the funny ones :-)

what most of the resturants, outside, looked like:

we drank cafe (espresso) and then Coke and then cafe and then Coke....repeat:

cool place. a liquor made from a cherry-like fruit that grows only in that region and sausage cooking on our table in a sweet piece of pottery!
I'm pretty sure I thought it was as cool as any 9 yr old boy would have thought:

a farmer's market, available EVERY DAY!, fresh fish, fruit, veggies, flowers, bread, cheese and crafts!
(yes, that is an entire indoor part of the market full of fresh fish....it smelled about like you'd imagine!)

we tried our hand at throwing together a few meals here and there - I didn't 'cook' though...no way baby, this was a vacation!

Great pics Holly!! Jake looks so European in all of these pictures, maybe it's his rough beard or something?
