from Saturday

this was the crew on Saturday for Portrait Project at Open Door Mission

(recap: Melissa, the gal with the cool boots, is a photographer and we all go with her to assist with hair, make up and admin' stuff while she captures family portraits and solo portraits of the people graduating from homelessness, addictions, etc...

the COOLEST part - ok, I couldn't take the time to write about ALL the COOLEST parts but one of the most fun parts was getting to photograph a family that had recently been 'put back together' - we took pictures of the little girls this summer at a camp for foster care kids - they are no longer foster care kids and they are no longer homeless!!!!!!!! We had no idea they were there until we showed up.....sOOOO fun!)

p.s. Melissa and I totally made that back drop!

My boots are super cute aren't they?! I have to thank Liz for those because if they had been her size she'd be wearing them right now instead of me! My smokin' boots pale in comparison to the coolness of Saturday though. I will post pictures tonight...
hopefully....
