More Fall Retreat

THERE WAS:

a luau in 40 degree weather:

(complete with roasted marshmallows as they were all out of pigs....even though we were in Iowa and aren't pigs an Iowa thing!?

No, we didn't actually mean to get a pig, I was kidding!)

(that would be our speaker doing the Limbo - Ed Noble from San Diego, Cali)
coolest pic of the weekend, right here:

perfect weather:

games where we had to put helmets on the kids:
(super smart, right!? but it's not a youth retreat unless someone is puking - check - going to the hospital - check - and hitting their heads - check....check...)

(oh...and two of those - puking and hospital - were from my group ;-} )

Jake's group was "THE".
(check out the cool arm bands Jake got for his guys!)

and my girls were the "Purple Princesses" (thus, the crowns)

but more than all that -
there was some serious Holy Spirit.

You know what I mean if you've ever been on a retreat like that.
God does things there He doesn't get to do while these kids are in their everyday environments - and you can almost physically see the Spirit move, it's so powerful.

I remember trips like this when I was in high school like they were yesterday and I remember how pivotal they were to my spiritual growth and awareness of the reality that GOD is IT...nothing else.

I was begging GOD to be IT to these girls this weekend....I think He answered!!!

Love these.
Praying for the girls this week - that all God revealed to them this weekend would never fade away.
Praying for the battle that Satan is launching on their lives - after all, he saw what I saw and knows how powerful these little ladies are once armed with the Spirit of the Living God.....

Watch out Omaha!
