something new for us this year:
we didn't travel and we didn't host......it was glorious!
spent the morning relaxing at home just 'being' with each other.
Samantha came down the stairs in this:

(say no to that!)
Lydia hosted her own dinner and invited all of us!
it was scrumptious!
rest time and then it was off the the Dyson's!
Nothing like the military family.
Nothing.
seems like in the real world you have to know people for double or triple the amount of time to have even close to the depth in your relationships as we have.
it's a God thing.
it's a necessary thing, but it's still cool to me.
there were friends (family), awesome food, lots o' cute little girls, football, dishes, more awesome food, and FUN!
oh, and what would Thanksgiving be without exploding gravy?

we convinced Samantha to switch gears before we headed over!

(Jake is a huge fan ;-)....April, if you're reading this...yes, it is, he wears it every year on this day!)
Back home and the girls were in bed in time for mommy and daddy to catch Jim and Pam's wedding!
(I feel so shallow for sharing that kind of stuff....it's thanksgiving and I feel the need to post about a TV show!?)

how did i not know (or am i forgetting??) that jake is a cowboys fan. not sure if it's a blessing or not...but always a part of our thanksgiving day!
