I read the adoption post...our IA adoption(s) was totally different. I truly believe no corruption took place...we are as fertile as you are =) and still chose to care for the orphan. Do you think I would be crazy enough to just want "more kids" this close in age?...Just following our call to care for orphans...I am terrified as all get out but believe that God wants us to bring Eva home so she is not in foster care her whole entire life and that she can experience what a family that loves Jesus is all about...so there are happy aspects to international adoption too!
Oh, and about that part about getting on the list and waiting for that "perfect child?"...didn't do that either....checked pretty much every box that we would be open to who we were referred!

Just my thoughts and experiences!

That post more about doing everything possible to prevent kids from going into orphanages/foster care BEFORE it's too late. Enabling exted families, friends, widows and widowers to care for their own children with our assistance. The perfect child wasn't mentioned :)
I was definitely not saying everyone's experience involves corruption - ours did not either - however the corruption does exist and there are MANY, MANY ways to care for the orphan that could help them stay in their countries.
I realize my opinion is unpopular. Especially among adoptive parents :)
