Brought:
#1 - toothpaste (oh yes, I did, I forgot the toothpaste - quickly fixed, thanks to Josh and Sami!, we just used the girls toothpaste in the mean time)
#2 - summer clothes (it's WARM here and it's so not like me to have not thought of that...I'm pulling the "I was sick" card on this one - this past weekend Lori and I went out and fixed the 'problem' for the girls and a little bit for me, but it will still be nice to have my wardrobe back)
#3 - more books (I forgot about these few weeks here at our friends house, all I thought was, "I'll be driving so there's no need for a lot of books", good thing our hosts read just as much and the same kind of books we do...heck, they are even Twilight fans!)
#4 - work shoes (I brought my running shoes, flip flops and dressier shoes but my work shoes got accidentally picked up by the movers....they were caked in MUD, so, those will be a blast to unpack. My feet are taking a beating because I refuse to use my running shoes to work in so the flip flops it is)
#5 - did I mention warm weather clothes? man, it's pretty here right now!
#6 - a can of Lysol (I can't stand how awful some of those rest stop bathrooms are - I leave with my stomach churning just about every time - and I would love to have had a can to just spray us all down afterwards each time)
NOT Brought:
#1 - the DVD players (we so didn't even use them and they were just in our way, I LOVE it that the girls didn't even ever ask to watch them, I put one movie in for Lydia and Samantha and according to Jake they asked to have it turned off so they could color! Nora and Sophie watched 1/2 a movie one of the days but fell asleep and we never turned it back on...they are busy little girls, that's for sure)
#2 - the air mattresses (I thought we'd need them in the hotel rooms but after the first night we discovered they both had holes and so we piled all four girls into one bed each night and not only was it adorable, they did great....er....ok....as long as they all had their own blanket so no one would disturb the comfort of their blankie's!)
#3 - as many toys (right before we left we were blessed with lots of fun and cool stuff for the car ride from lots of good friends and when I added them to the toys I'd already bought/packed in the car, well, they had fun at least, we'll just say that, and that next time I'll remember to pack a little less to give 'room' for the blessings -
seems like there's some spiritual significance there -
leave room in your life for the blessings,
expect them,
don't over pack!)

You are right! It sounds to me like that last phrase is a "keeper". Can I copy it and use it?
Luv ya!
