there's something wrong with me.

I haven't blogged.

What's wrong with me!?

#1 - Our household goods came last Monday and until they are all organized, put away and hanging on the wall, my world is out of sink.
I know that sounds twisted to some and others of you know exactly how I feel.
There is something wrong about that, I know, but it is what it is.

#2 - My bedroom needs to be painted.
It's bright green. No, not the 'green' that my other bedroom was, BRIGHT green.
We have new bed room furniture (which we LOVE, it's the first time since we've been married that we've had actual bedroom furniture!) and it doesn't look right in our room. So, again, until that's done, there's something wrong with me.

#3 - The movers haven't come to pick up the four thousand boxes sitting in our driveway, despite the four thousand phone calls, so there are still 'boxes everywhere' in my mind, and until they're gone, there's something wrong with me.

#4 - We got into the house, our own house, and I got really really really tired, ALL THE SUDDEN. I think the sickness, the packing, the driving, the cleaning, the living in someone elses home for 3 weeks....it just all caught up with me.
It all went so well, but it was all a lot of work and because of it, for the last week or so, there's been something wrong with me ;-)

#5 - We visited a church today. It was a no go, which was weird because there were so many people pointing us to that church before we got here. And until we have a church home here, there will just be something 'wrong with me'.

#6 - The girls were so so so good this whole trip and as soon as we got into our own home, they came crashing down. They've had good moments but there was something wrong with them this week too, for sure.

#7 - My parents had a really really hard week, mostly because of the economy, but some other stuff too, my dad was let go from his job. It was a shock and there's just something wrong there, which means there's just something wrong here too.

#8 - I have no idea where my camera is. Nuff said, right!?

#9 - I haven't been able to run all week and all of the sudden that means there's something wrong with me! (I could be running right now but this 'no blogging' thing had to end!)

#10 - And then I start thinking about all that up there and remember my friends who are either going through extremely difficult life stuff or my brothers and sisters in Christ who are living in persecuting nations or my brothers and sisters in Christ who are starving/need water/are orphans/are in nursing homes alone....and I think to my self, 'what is wrong with me!'.

#11 - I have really really really missed my friends this week.

And then my head starts spinning.

Moving is so stinkin' messy.
There are fun parts, but I'm not in one of them.
Sorry for the negativity, but that may be why I haven't blogged.
I'm 'off' and it's just because we aren't 'settled' yet.

It will happen and just getting it off my chest here has helped a ton.
And it was cheaper than therapy.
Once again!

I'll be back sooner this time, with some positive stuff, some first impressions of this place we now call home.

Put the boxes on the curb, post them on craigslist, and they will be gone by nightfall. Love you, girl! Wish I could paint your room for you to make it better.

aw! I miss you dear friend! Was I "it" the last time you tagged me? Oops! Busy here too and by the sound of it you need some time before I get ahold of you! Hang in there...I get what you mean about things being put away and up on the walls...bugs me too! We'll talk soon! Praying for you!

Ahhh, welcome back. Sorry to hear that you've been off, I totally get it. And I'm with Becky, put those puppies on the curb with a free sign to get rid of them! I hate having extra junk lying around, especially when it's outside. If the inside of my house can't be orderly, the outside of my house needs to be! At least you're in your new home, even though it's not all together yet. Give it time. Will call soon!

I've been praying for you dear friend! I know it has to be hard to get through all the changes! We miss you and Sophia keeps asking if you guys "really" moved. She is not sure she believes it. Glad to read your post.
hugs,
Kimberly S.

I HATE moving- this was absolutely how I feel when I have to move, in fact when we move again I will just have to point everyone to this blog and say that's it! You are in our thoughts and prayers, you are missed here in Omaha and we look forward to hearing the great things God uses you for in DC!
