good morning Jake.

don't be jealous.
it's a sin.

but this is an email I got from Jake this morning:

Just thinking this morning as I read all the reports about scientists and environmentalists who are all worried about multiple species becoming extinct in the next few years…if Darwinism is the way of the world, and survival of the fittest is how nature is supposed to work, and animals will just evolve to survive when they are supposed to…why do we try to prevent extinction of any species? And once a species is extinct, why is it a big deal? It was not created. The only reason it ever existed in the first place was because evolution happened. Why is it acceptable for evolution to bring creatures into existence but not to take them out of it ? If lions eat all the deer, does that mean lions are evil and wrong? No. It means they are lions, and evolution led to the extinction of deer. So why can’t humans kill off all the spotted owls? It’s just evolution, baby!

and that's ALL it said.
I know, he's soooo romantic ;-)

hee hee...
actually, he is.
there were really two emails and the first one was all about me and my awesomeness ;-)
it was just followed up with this one, and it made me laugh.

Oh my goodness he sounds just like Isaak. I am forced to participate in many of these conversations...glad I'm not the only one!

Because we've evolved enough to know that killing off other animals isn't good for our own species.
Well... just sayin. I don't really believe in evolution, though.
