and I'm on week three!
I have used this gal's YouTube Yoga videos (free!):
(this is only part 1 of a 4 part video that ends up being 30 min's long,
you can link to the other three parts from part 1)
I use this sports bra....I'm sorry to the dudes out there, but this is extremely important stuff for the girls!!!! (no pun intended ;-)
I LOVE it!
I buy men's shoes because my feet are so flippin' huge.
I love running in the rain.
Yoga make me hurt in places like my love handles and my armpits (I didn't know muscles existed there!?)
I am still getting up at 5:15am to get this all in.
I love it!!!

you can try runnerworld.com too for a free training program...I liked it better cause you can put in what your long run day you want and how hard you want to train and when the race is etc....I think you just have to sign up for an account...good luck! My half is on Aug 14 and I am d-i-e-i-n-g! It's the hardest thing I have ever done...well, beside the whole motherhood thing!
oops, runnersworld.com
i miss yoga...try pilates too...it all works together to kick your ass and make you want more!
Thanks for the bra recommendation - how did you know I needed one? :o)
Holly, I used Hal Higdon's training schedule for my first & second marathon -- he's great!
The race will be worth all the trouble of getting up early and squeezing in these workouts. You may very well decide to do a marathon in the future.
I highly recommend "Spirit of the Marathon" for inspiration while you're getting ready for your big race!
