"Leading on the Edge of Hope"
you do what you do out of passion, no one has to make you do that
hope fuels risk taking
take risks to put yourself in a place where miracles can happen
Christine bought her 4 yr old daughter a flash light and the first urgent request her daughter made after opening it was "Mommy! Can we please go find some darkness!"
Her daughter understood the purpose of the light.
She is afraid of the dark without the flashlight, but with the flashlight she just wants to go darker.
Light's purpose was to GO INTO the darkness.
Christine was ministering to a gal in Greece who'd been rescued from a brothel two days prior and Christine felt like she was on a roll, doing her best preaching and ministering when the girl stops her and YELLS in a small room full of people, "IF GOD TOLD YOU TO COME SAVE ME THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU COME SOONER?!"
to which Christine realized that it wasn't that God didn't hear the gals cries for help, but that Christine (uh hem...me) didn't listen and come when called.
Answer the call. Now.

When Leaders Fall
(his talk was mostly about pastors having affairs, so I did listen because it was good, but my notes aren't super extensive)
the 5 R's of Resisting Temptation:
1. Remember who you are.
2. (I missed this one!?)
3. Rededicate yourself to God (stop/drop/and pray when you are on fire)
4. Reveal your struggle to a trusted friend.
5. Remove yourself from the situation at all costs (except to your family)

Dr Peter Zhao Xiao
Christian, Economist, Chinese Communist (that'll blow your mind!)
(he was sent to the US to study capitalism on behalf of the Chinese government and in the process decided that the US economics were originally based on Christian principles and in researching Christian principles, switched from Atheism to a Christ follower!
there are not a lot of notes but this speech was intriguing! Obviously much of it was scripted by the Chinese government but the lacing of Jesus presence in the talk were too cool - it was also through a translator so my listening ears were working hard which meant not a lot of note taking)
Margaret Thatcher "if China can only produce TV's and not TV shows/morals, they will not become a super power again"
Leader from Singapore "there is no such thing as the 'China Dream'"
China will be driven to open it's arms to learn from the whole world - not just business but morals - China should learn from Christian values
