Jake took the day off in anticipation for a trip he's taking coming up soon.
and it was beautiful.
Back to School Hair Cuts in the morning
the shaggy gang before:

(Lydia's hair is SUPER short for me...I don't want to talk about it. It's cute, yes, but she looks so grown up that I am having a hard time looking at her without falling to the floor in fetal position, rocking back and forth and repeating to nobody, "stop growing, stop growing, stop growing, etc..")

We came home, downed some lunch and headed back out to swim WITH DADDY!
Jake has not had a chance to see the girls new tricks in the water and were so excited to finally show him their confidence in all they could do. I do believe there were even a few moments of scary overconfidence that included rescuing from death by drowning.
We are all alive and we had fun.

I meant to tell you this morning when I read this - your pizza looks fantastic!! What's on the round one besides artichoke?
OK - My day started out VERY similar...but no swimming and no pizza...(visit mine!!)
Your pool does look fun, and it looks like there is hardly anyone else there...even better! And your pizza's do look quite scrumptious. :)
