what a fun place we live....
we headed to a living history museum today and just HAPPENED upon an entire Civil War Reenactment!
like, ENTIRE!
we'd packed a lunch, but couldn't resist the snow cones!
I'd packed art supplies to paint because we had a Plan A today but this was Plan B.
The girls were all hyped up for Plan A so we proceeded as best we could with Plan A even though we were on Plan B

all kinds of new ideas!
couldn't have come up with that one on my own - totally a product of going from Plan A to Plan B...just giving credit where credit is due.

and, of course, the best part of the day for Nora and Sophie was doing something as menial as walking back to the car. it was a long walk and their daddy made them belly laugh the whole way! so cute.

off to Old Towne Alexandria tonight for dinner with friends.
seriously, there is not enough time to do all the cool stuff there is to do here!
I constantly feel like we're missing something....
