really?

Saturday morning I....

....I can't believe I'm about to type this....

I ran 10 miles!!!!!!!!!!

I run on a converted rail-road track that is now a running/bike path.
for 10 miles of it anyway!

10 miles!!!!!!

I was going to try and redo my failed 9 miler from last week and decided that I never want to run 9 miles ever again.
Me and 9 miles...we are not friends.

And I had enough water this time
And Snickers are gross when you're running - something about the chocolate drool running down my face 'cause I couldn't keep my mouth closed because I HAD to breath just threw the whole thing off.
I had a moment of mourning in the car when it was all over, but I'm ok now.
I know they help with my blood sugar though - I could feel it!

I hurt the worst I've ever hurt.
I had new shoes that will be going back to the store and I didn't stretch at all.

Will be changing that next time...oh yeah, there will be a next time!!!!

made me laugh out loud about the snickers :-) i totally "get it". i've never eaten ANYTHING while running..well, i tried those "sport jelly beans" once...and drooled them and just ate 2 and threw the rest of the bag away.

sorry about your shoes! ugh!

YAY for 10 miles though!

I just KNEW that you'd have a better run this weekend! I too find it hard to eat and run at the same time (drool ain't cool!) which is why I used sport drinks for the long runs usually.

Do you have any inserts in your shoes? I found that they helped a lot when I had pain in my arches. And yes, good shoes are a must. When I was at Lady Foot Locker, she told me that certain stores offer more "technical" assistance due to special training in helping customers get the right shoes. Maybe you can locate one in your area?

Good for you in running 10 miles -- 13 is totally doable now, with lots of company, people cheering and adrenaline!

ok, so i never said that eating the snickers while running was enjoyable! You just need to refuel somehow....we used gatorade too and that helped! So glad this was a better run! Awesome job!

Oh, girl, I am so proud of you. I started working out last year and lost about 20 pounds. I feel so much better and I have to say that I only run about 3 miles, not 10!! You are amazing!
