they can't even really be called 'company'.
'Company' to me is someone you don't let completely loose for, someone you don't have a lot of history with, someone you might forget in a few years, someone you are nervous about cooking for because you just don't know them well enough yet, someone you don't bear your whole heart too, someone you don't love as much as people like Josh and Sami.
Jake and I met Josh and Sami when they were in high school - crazy, wild, hilarious, fun...
they were some of our favorite 'high schoolers' we've ever worked with.
Them and their whole gang (the Fight, as they later became known as in college).
From our Ohio years.
Josh and Sami are married now, with two AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL little babies.
We may have rubbed off on them a little too much...Elliana and Hezekiah are 14 months (or something like that) apart.
Seeing them is always bittersweet, heavy on the sweet.
Bitter just meaning that I wish we had more time to be with them, that we still lived down the street and that I could hug them anytime I felt they needed it.
I think they feel the same way!?
It was a precious gift to have them all to ourselves this weekend - it truly was.
We're re-energized, they're refreshed, God moved, the Holy Spirit is sweatin', it was great.

walks in the woods
yummy Jake breakfasts
Josh jamming session with the girls rockin' out!
picnic with more mutual friends
donuts
Greek food
the talks
going to some 'real' furniture stores (that was for you Sami!)
WE CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT TIME...man we love you guys...and we're so proud of what God is doing in and through you.
So proud.
