Pumpkin Playground 2010

around the corner from our house, all month, has been THIS place!!!

who knew!?

we needed it yesterday.
bad.
it went like this:
School 2 hours
Mommy being mean 1 hour
Pumpkin Playground 4 hours
Chick fil A 1 hour
get home and scrub everyone down with steel wool
bed time.

One of those days that I knew if we were home, it just wouldn't be pretty - so out we went, to redeem Mommy's 1 hour of being really mean.....and I think we did ok.

SEE:

(Nora: pink, Sophie: blue)

 whoa nellie!

because Nora is that kind of friend.
(hilarious, because she actually IS!)

and, only Samantha would think to ride the free penny horse, side saddle.

this is it.
this....the look on the face, the way I'm sitting, what my arm is slung around,
it's how I've felt the last couple of days....
pitiful...er...pathetic, whatever.
it'll pass, I'm just in a mood.

breaking my heart:
 HELLLLO, fall!

PICTURE OF THE YEAR PEOPLE:
I wasn't even 'taking' a picture here.  I was playing around with the setting on my camera and had no clue Lydia and Samantha were even on that thing, let alone doing what they were doing right in front of my unaimed camera!!!!!

these things still make me want to vomit.
we won't go into how I know.

 gross...why?

Nora says it ROCKS and ROLLS!!!
(do you remember these rides!?  I hadn't seen one in forever!)

AND WE GET TO DO IT ALL AGAIN ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

ok several things

1. I LOVE Lydia's boots. Like I want a pair.

2. Is that where we are going Friday? So fun!

3. Cutest pictures ever, I can't believe you accidentally took that one, it's awesome!

4. I have been in a mood all week too, must be the weather.

That's all for now. Can't wait to see you all!

Funny to see that it really does look right around the corner from your house! It's in the middle of a neighborhood! Gotta do watcha gotta do in a metro area I guess. Not every place can have sprawling corn fields and miles of nothing to put up pumpkin patches like Nebraska! :~) Definitely convenient. And those straw bail slides look awesome.
And I wholeheartedly agree about Lydia's boots, super cute, and I want a pair too.

That place does look super super fun!! Is it open all the time? Or did they build it JUST for pumpkin season?
The horsey ride pictures totally remind me of my painting of Roxanne on the penny horse- those penny horses must really have the power to bring out the maniac cowgirl in kids!
