So, I bought the canvas and then it sat in my living room for over a month.
It just sat there....and stared at me....every.single.day.
I got tired of it's antics....I showed him who was boss!
here's mine:
ours, really. 'Doorpost' was Jake's idea!
it's from this cool book we have:
Deuteronomy 11:18-21
“So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that as long as the sky remains above the earth, you and your children may flourish in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors.
so, I love it when God does this.
I made this on Friday night,
Sunday morning our pastor (did I just say 'our' pastor!??)
used an example from Deut. about friendship and the company you keep - the same example God uses to preface WHY we should keep His words in front of us all the time.
THEN...
Guess what story was in the girls Bible lesson plans this morning???
hm....
there's something here...I just can't put my finger on it ;-).

I love the Obey right away, all the way and do the right thing, no matter what anyone else is doing. Awesome rules. I love this. It's very "you." :)
You and this doorpost are so cool.

Yep, I agree, when there is something that God is really speaking to you about, He comes at you from every direction! I have experienced that MANY times!
