riddle me this...how on earth did Nora end up on the Left of EVERY picture I took on their birthdays and Sophie on the right?
NOT planned and it's wierding me out a little!
Nora,
My little "mawmaw". There are endless amounts of butterfly kisses living in your eye lashes and if those ever run out you've got your back-up Eskimo kisses to hold you over.Your hugs are the best, your smile melts my soul and your giggle puts me at ease every time.
You are gentle and content to sit back sometimes, something I've always wanted to be and never have been able to figure out, so seeing it in you leaves me awe struck sometimes. God has a hand in your life, I know because of your prayers to Him to 'fix mommy's heart' after we've had a bad day and because you're the first to come up and stroke my face after a bad moment.
Your touch and your tenderness are precious precious to me.
I can't WAIT to see how God is going to use those.
I love you, I love God for choosing to put you in our family, we would be incomplete in a horrible way without you....Happy Birthday little girl.
your mommy.
Sophie,
My "mini-me". There is independence in the air, it's so thick I can cut it with a knife and just when it starts to make me angry, I break down in laughter thinking about where I've seen that kind of drive before. But for every time that I think you're just like me, there is a time that I see your own little person emerging too. You are abundantly helpful, always ready to give up your spot, your toy or your turn (ok, only sometimes on that last one!) in order to get my approval or for the joy of that other person. Your curiosity blows my mind...this was the year that when you were told you were so curious you looked up and responded with, "What's 'curious'?" in your most disgusted tone of voice sending the whole room into rolls of laughter and you shrinking back in embarrassment!
Your drive, your thoughtfulness, your curiosity...what a combination!
May God be over you like a hawk as you ask your questions and may you never stop.
I love you, I love that God chose to put you in our family, we would be shallow without you...Happy Birthday little monkey.
your mommy.
