I FOUND A BAG OF POWDERED SUGAR IN THE BACK OF MY CABINET!!!!!!!!!!!
I really really really wanted to get this over with (so that it was fun) in ONE day.
When I discovered the frosting I had bought was rancid, that put a little wrench in my plan.
But, while poking around, I FOUND POWDERED SUGAR BABY!!!!
back on track....
another recipe...I was on a roll...actually, I still am...at this rate, I'll be DONE with all baking by toonizite!

I let them GO with the sugar cookies....but my gingerbread girls, I don't know, I'm just weird and controlling about them.
Lydia told me how to design them and I obeyed, but I wouldn't let go of the frosting...it was MINE.
she got a little bored ;-)
Sophie stepped in and sat with me for about 30 min's.....aka a LONG TIME.
and there was a string of questions coming out of that girls mouth, the. entire. time.
Her curiosity blows me away.

Girl - you have got some Aaaamazing natural light coming through that front window!! Seriously, take ALL of your pictures there, kay? You are going to be super dangerous when you get your fancy camera!!
Looking forward to "baking day" with my kiddos next week. Your package will be in the mail by Friday. So sorry it has taken me longer than I thought it would. We have decided it would be fun to pass around Strep Throat!! ;)
love them all :-) especially that you are in control of the icing for the gingerbread girls.
I love the make a mess, but leave my gingerbread girls alone philosophy! Nicely done. I gotta find more balance w/ my boys. :o) Can I just say I got all my baking done today (my mom's tin of cookies arrived in the mail.) Is that pathetic or what! Maybe I will do a couple more things... There is always next year. And if I am really ambitious maybe I can get last year's Christmas card out next year, too! :o) (All this rambling to say I am very impressed with your super mom powers and enjoying the pictures!)
