it was a grand time....

a grand time full of butterflies butterflies butterflies!!!!!!!!

full of sweet little 7 year olds:

full of party favors for friends:

 full of ACTUAL butterflies!
 full of games and silliness:

(Lydia wanted brownies....her mommy makes CAKES and she wanted brownies....cracked me UP!)

and full of giving..

Lydia (at my suggestion but HER decision) decided to share her birthday with our World Vision Sponsor child (Janeth...pronounced Janet) this year.
We sent out a list of approved gifts we are allowed to send and had everyone bring those things instead of more STUFF for Lydia.
Lydia has lots 'o stuff and she loves her stuff but she agreed Janeth would love to be blessed.

Each kid opened the gift they brought, showed it off and we watched Janeth's basket grow and grow!
(I'm assuming they'll share it all with Janeth's school)

I'm proud of Lydia.
That's a big deal for a 7 year old and she gets it.
7 year olds get it.
We can too, right!?

The deal was if Lydia did this (the giving party) then she got to go shopping with just mommy and daddy for her gift from us....pictures of that incredible date to come ;-)....it was almost just as precious as her party!

my heart is full.

Lydia jumped up and down when the last guest left and said,
"eeeeek!!!!! that was so fun!!!! I want to do that every-other-year!!!!!!!!"

oh Lydia ;-)

Love Lydia's heart!! What a precious young girl she is growing to be. ( I think Mom gets props for that too. :~) )

Looks like a blast and Janeth is gonna be blown away! What a blessing to her.

And I love the butterflies lining the sidewalk...great idea!

Happy birthday Lydia (again!)
