this is what your country's military spouses do in their free time:
there was a spouses event,
they said I could dress up,
I might have been a little excited and signed up to be the main character:
yes, I'm the new girl but hey, they needed to know who they were dealing with, right?
oh...and I'm in good company, apparently, I'm not the only one who was really really excited to dress up:
our Mad Hatter was so amazing I was intimated by her the.whole.night.
not only did she make her own costume but it looked amazing AND she stayed in character.
dude.
And, of course, being in character meant I was sitting by her and the white rabbit!

each group had a different movie theme, there were Zombies, Disney princesses, Top Gun (der), Pirates, 27 Dresses, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Wizard of Oz, Avenger's, Stepford Wives, and a bunch more.....the Head Table (the military leadership wives), were the Capital from HUNGER GAMES (I love it!)....
but....there was no contest, we totally won.
Our ladies made our table out of this world and each person put such dedication into their costume that we were rockin' that night!
so so so fun...
I love me some good pure fun!
(especially if it means I win something ;-)
At one point the White Rabbit and I yelled out "I'm LATE!", got up and ran around the room.
It was hysterical.
It also got us sent to the grog bowl....but I digress.

Beale did not do anything nearly as cool when we were stationed there! Glad they've cranked up the cool factor since I left. That looks like the most fun spouses function ever. How was Wizard of Oz??? They've got great characters in that movie...did they not dress to impress like y'all?!??! Glad you guys had so much fun! Again, everyone looked SO awesome!
