have we told you how much we love you lately?
we know, we have.
but have we told you how much we like you?
how incredibly happy it makes your mommy and your daddy that God created you special and then gave you to our family?
we love you and we like you, a.lot.
wanna know just a few things we like about you right now?
we like that you are always busy.
if not physically, then at least mentally.
we like that you always need to know what's next,
even if we get frustrated with this, we do like it!
we like your sensitivity.
you are that kid that pretty much needs a dirty look and you never repeat the behavior again.
really, we like that a lot!
we don't like how it pains our hearts when we do more than that even though it's all you'd have needed, but that's our fault, not yours.
we like your perception for other people's feelings.
it's amazing and we'd already call it your spiritual gift.
(sometimes we don't like this because we're trying to hide something from you and we can't...)
we like your passion with a capitol P for learning.
even when we're done teaching, you continue to learn and absorb and figure out and plan and process and it's never ending!
we like your hugs and kisses because they are never empty or routine.
you give them when it really means something to you.
we like how you 'demand' back scratches at the exact times you know we are in the mood to give them.....there goes your perception again!
we like your concern regarding the well being, happiness and justice of your sisters.
you make it right, even if mommy and daddy messed up, you step in and comfort, intercede for justice and stand up.
another spiritual gift I see blooming.
and now mommy has to stop writing because she likes you so much this is making her kinda weepy......and you're in the next room which means you might perceive that I'm weepy....
and I meant it when I said these were just a few things we like about you Lydia Rose.
can we keep you forever?
