Christmas Eve

SURPRISE!!!
we're taking you to see Voyage of the Dawn Treader!
Lydia really was excited, I have no idea what I caught her doing here, but this was the reaction Samantha had:
and here's what Lydia wore..all she knew is we were going on a surprise trip.
I don't know.
it was modest, so we said yes.
just go with it...
waiting for the show to start!
theaters are busy on Christmas Eve!
who knew?

So, I got to sit by Nora and Sophie.
Who asked questions the. entire. time.
love love love that those girls are so curious.
just wish I could turn it on and off with a switch.

Jake got to sit by Lydia and Samantha.
He walked out of the movie smiling, I walked out exhausted.

HURRY! EVERY ONE REST AND THEN CHANGE INTO YOUR CHRISTMAS DRESS....THROW BACK SOME YOGURT 'CAUSE WE ARE GOIN' TO CHURCH!
that's what it felt like anyway.

some crazy cool people lined our entire neighborhood worth of streets, on both sides, with luminaries!
it was so BEAUTIFUL!

we worked the 2-3 year old room for the first service together as a family

and then hit up the second service ourselves.

one of the most outstanding Christmas Eve Services we've ever been to.
and Jake and I were sitting by some of the most beautiful girls!

back home:

we ended the day with a BANG!
Christmas pj's were a hit.
well...they made me want to hit a wall that is.

three of my four adorable children loved their pj's.
one of them did not.
one of them got her pj's taken away for good because ya know...it seemed nicer than hitting a wall.
:-)

merry stinkin' Christmas.

just kidding.
it was a good day.
a really really good day.

yes, seeing movies with youngsters is always fun but exhausting--whenever I take kiddos I end up having to go watch the movie again by myself just to catch everything :)

looks like you all had a blast! Merry Christmas!

And I love that you were ACTUALLY taking pictures of the girls while you were in church, doing the candlelight service, and the choir singing...oh Holly, only you girl!
