good news.
it's snowing.
bad news.
it's snowing.
good news.
because it's snowing we had the entire ChickfilA playground to ourselves for three hours this afternoon with some friends. (we just came from Nebraska, the other family is from Canada....the threat of a possible one inch of snow wasn't exactly scaring us to stay home!)
bad news.
because it's getting so icy we have to cancel the second week of our brand new girls night/small group/Bible study (geez...this thing needs a name!) and that makes me so sad! I know it was only one week but we were on a roll!
good news.
I'm still in the middle of the Hunger Games series so a 'night in', with the fire going, snow falling and cuddling up next to my man sounds amazing.
bad news.
this probably means I can't run in the morning and I already skipped today.
good news.
I was feeling like I needed a few days break anyway....love it when the decision is made for me.
I'll just do me some yoga.
bad news.
I don't have any more but I couldn't break my pattern.
good news.
this winter has been so.....what's the word?......CAKE compared to many of our winter's pasts.
and I don't mean just the weather (although after learning what the wind chill was in NE today, you can just throw the weather in this following list!)
I mean the lack of sickness (one runny nose/cough this entire season and it was for a week or less), the fact that everyone can bundle themselves, buckle themselves and then unbundle and bundle again when necessary.
CAKE I tell ya. cake.
speaking of cake....I finished the two I was working on today....can't wait to show you, waiting for better lighting to take pictures, then I'll be back.

I'm just wondering why friends that have moved away are always looking at the Nebraska weather report just to see if it really is colder here. :) Of course it is! :) You do pray for us when you check that weather, don't you? :) ~ Jennie
The flippin wind chill is -18 right now! And by 6am it will feel like -22 AND there will be school. I think the cold froze off some people's brain cells in our state. (well, not your state anymore but seen as how you still secretly stalk our weather I'd say you still have a claim to it.) :~)
Sorry you had to cancel bible study, but not sorry that you got extra time to read!
I love comparing the weather in southern Illinois to Nebraska. It makes me complain so much less! I also love it when everyone here is complaining over a little more than an inch of snow, I don't even give it any thought.
I've been told to read Hunger Games a few times now. I'm so glad you get time to read cause that means you can tell me exactly how good they are???
Love you. Miss you!

for the record.
I DO NOT check the NE weather report.
I only knew the wind chill because someone told me over the phone -
No, I choose to leave that kind of negative, depressing news out of my life if at all possible...it brings back the nightmares.
