our first rose of our first rose bush that survived the winter and is going crazy!!!
(for once, I didn't kill something...thank you very much.)
grocery shopping
(yes, I know she needs new boots)
a friend's baby's baptism party.
(Several minutes had passed, I hadn't seen or heard or heard of Nora. I went in search of her and here's what I found:
she was in the 'adult' room just observing, not saying a word, not wiggling around, just watching.
No, you can't have her, she's MINE!)
Bubbles!
the guest of honor - tucked back there behind the girls
(with so many family members is was hard to get a picture of him ;-):
home to relax
and paint, while mommy and daddy worked on plans for two new tree swings.
It was a good weekend.
It was hard too.
I had a busy week last week and Jake worked 13-14 hr days every day (not by choice).
I felt disconnected because of the combo and hate that feeling...
I'm deeply grateful he has a job and is good at it and loves it - NO complaining.
It was just the combination of the two busy weeks that threw me.
I had to make a final decision about something and I didn't like the choice I had to make.
I'm sad about it but it's for the best. I'm in physical pain and it was a huge part of the decision.
more on that later...
We are making plans to get out of town for a few days before the beginning of June, when those 13-14hrs for Jake become part of our normal life....
The planning is fun, the trip will be a blast, I'm sure,
the beginning of June, well, I don't know about that.
There are too many reasons why we know that this new schedule (new job) is in God's hands.
He is the one providing it and moving Jake.
My trusting Him that this IS where we're supposed to be is what's hard.
We are supposed to be there, I know that.
Now to just find the blessings and purpose in it....

Girl. I want to encourage you thru these long hours. This is how Eric works ALL the time. It is not easy, and the disconnect is something I have really had to work the, but....you and Jake are amazing and you communicate and you love...and that will be fuel in your survival. Cant wIt to aee you soon!
You're coming to Kansas, right? :)
This is where you're suppose to be...just like ya said...and one of these days this head knowledge will trinkle down to your heart and you'll firmly believe it, and you'll be grateful for it, and you'll see the blessings that came from it.
