Happy Belated Easter!
Where have I been? Well...welcome to a glimpse of what it's like to be a military wife. Up until last Thursday we didn't know whether or not Jake would get leave for Easter. So, when we did find out it was a fury of packing and preparation to leave (we were pretty sure he wouldn't get it - not being pessimistic, it's just how we thought it would turn out).
Once we were gone, we were gone. I always have these great and grand intentions to continue my 'life' where ever we travel but time is weird when you're away from home. The days go so fast. Oh well.
The trip was great! One of the best trips to my parents house yet. My brother, his wife and little girl were all there. It was the first time we'd had the chance to meet Miss Sierra. What a doll. Lydia learned to say her name while we were there and now we can't get her to stop saying it.
It was an 8 hour drive home (which translates into 11 hrs, in our case). Lydia is now at the age where traveling long distances just requires her DVD player, snacks and baby dolls - AWESOME!!! She did great.
Samantha will be there one day! Nuff said.
I did find out some weird news while there - maybe I'll share in next weeks blog...
I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around it right now. Intrigued? Me too.
