I am grateful today.
Grateful that God provided us with a great house and even greater neighbors.
Not just one set but FOUR sets of amazing neighbors.
Grateful my lawn was magically mowed again today, I was not alone for dinner, again, and when I couldn't get out of my chair tonight (if I did I'm pretty sure I'd have gone into labor) someone else was there to run up the hill and rescue my almost one year old from rolling down the hill she'd so triumphantly just pushed her tractor up!
Grateful my neighbors think it's cute when my two year old strips all her clothes off outside right after we'd had a conversation about how she hates to be naked. She has a really bad diaper rash, I was wanting her to 'air' it out and she did, twice. Once, inside the house when I made her and once outside for about two hours with lots of people around. It was great, when she peed I just hosed her down!
Grateful that the newest addition to our street is a Christian and has twins!
Grateful that my phone rang off the hook today with 'how you doin'' calls.
Grateful that my husband is a safe as can be given the circumstances.
Grateful that we are doing this with young children that don't fully grasp what is going on. I see people doing this with teens/older elementary and I feel like, emotionally (NOT physically), it's harder.
Grateful that I read a great reminder today to cherish this short time I have with my babies (I'll post it next so you can cry too!)
I just love my church family, my neighborhood, my military friends....none of them are close to perfect and yet they are as close to heaven as I will see here on earth. For that, I am grateful.
